ELEXON employs around 112 people with specific skills, knowledge and expertise required to achieve our strategic priorities and ensure our customers receive high quality, professional and value added services. We have a career framework to help employees understand how they can progress their career at ELEXON. The framework divides roles into distinct job families on the basis of shared characteristics, i.e. the type of work undertaken. It demonstrates clear career paths for employees, showing at a glance the potential for both progression and promotion.
There are four job families at ELEXON: Technical Services, Professional Services, Management and Support Services.
Technical Services
Jobs in this family are primarily involved as the interface between ELEXON and our customers and staff are involved in the preparation, interpretation and provision of advice on all relevant facts, data, systems, processes and procedures relating to their particular areas of expertise.
Professional Services
Jobs in this family are engaged in the development and provision of professional services to the company in order to ensure that it operates in an efficient and compliant manner in line with statutory requirements and relevant best practice.
Management
Jobs in this family are primarily engaged in the co-ordination, deployment and control of defined resources within ELEXON. Whilst the management of people is the prime focus, responsibility may also include budget setting, monitoring and control processes.
Support Services
Jobs in this family are engaged in the provision of administrative, facilities and operational support across the company.
Rafal is the Facilities Assistant working in the Facilities team. Rafal hadn’t previously worked in the electricity industry and joined ELEXON in March 2006 as an Office Services Administrator (SS1) within the Office Services Team. In July 2008 he was promoted to Facilities Assistant (SS2) supporting the overall running of ELEXON’s office space and facilities.

Our Offices
ELEXON is located in the West End at 4th Floor, 350 Euston Road, London, NW1 3AW. Our offices are convenient to public transport, shops and restaurants. We have excellent facilities for employees, including a dedicated area for meetings and breaks.
