We are a not-for-profit entity, funded by electricity market participants. Any funds we have left over from our budget is always returned to market participants.

As a not-for-profit company we want to guarantee we deliver value for money as well as be approachable and clear about out finances.

Governance and Leadership team

The company is governed by the Elexon Board, who oversee the strategic and operational delivery to ensure an outstanding service for our customers.They also review overall management of the organisation.

The Executive team are responsible for day-to-day management and ensure that Elexon delivers to the highest quality.

Consultations

We monitor and respond to industry-wide consultations that may have an impact on the provisions in the BSC, on Elexon or — through Elexon — on our customers.

Many of our consultations are responses to other activities or consultations made by other industry parties.

COVID-19

We have been very diligent about how we handle the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on staff and the industry.

Our approach has been a proactive one, whilst also taking into consideration Government advice. This page will detail what measures and guidance are currently in place.

As part of our ongoing efforts to manage our office environment during the COVID-19 pandemic we have undertaken reviews of our facilities and office processes to ensure we are providing a safe working environment for our staff and for any visitors to the London office.
