Anne Heal was initially appointed to the Elexon Board on 1 October 2017 and was confirmed as re-appointed during the vote at Elexon’s Annual BSC Seminar held on 13 July 2023. She chairs the People and Remuneration Committee and is a Member of Nominations Committee.
Experience in the industry
Anne is also the Chair of Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL) and is a Board Member of ORR, the rail and road regulator.
Anne is a lay member of the General Dental Council, an independent member of the Bank of England Enforcement Decision Making Committee and the FCA Regulatory Decision Committee, and also Chair of the London Design and Engineering UTC.
She was previously Director of Regulatory Affairs for BT Group, leading the regulatory negotiations that led to the creation of Openreach, where she then became MD, Strategy. She has also been a board member of Ofqual, the qualifications regulator, and previously chaired the Thames Water Customer Challenge Group.
Anne is Chair of the charity Volunteering Matters, Chair of the Diabetes UK Governance and Nominations Committee and is a trustee of BalletBoyz.
