Simon McCalla is stepping down as Chief Executive of Elexon with effect from 4 September 2023 to focus on further developing his family’s growing retail business.
This follows Simon’s creation and introduction of a new corporate strategy for Elexon, as described in our 2022/23 Annual Report and Financial Statements.
This strategy will now be taken forward by Peter Stanley, who will step into the role of Interim CEO, working together with the Elexon Executive team, supported by the Board of Directors whilst the Board considers the appointment of an enduring CEO.
The Board would like to thank Simon for his work over the past year and a half, and in particular his efforts concerning the strategy work which plays a critical part in shaping our future development.
